Will my PA have medicolegal experience?
Yes they will. The medicolegal PAs we work with all have substantial experience and are confident dealing with solicitors and agency enquiries, capturing calls, email management, audio-typing medical records, clinical reports and legal correspondence and overseeing billing and accounts.
Can my medicolegal PA help with my clinical practice?
Absolutely. All PAs we work with have experience within a private clinical setting alongside their medicolegal work.
My medicolegal practice is small but growing – how does that work?
It’s very straightforward. We work with a number of consultants who are establishing themselves in the medicolegal field. Our support packages start small and are reviewed on a 4-weekly basis. As your practice grows your PA can increase their hours. And if you only need transcription support to start, we can help with that too on a standalone basis.
I work with a number of associates; how do you deal with an increased workload?
The medicolegal PAs we work with know and support each other. If there is an influx of reports, they will ask another PA to step in and support.
We're sometimes asked whether "agency" describes what we do. It's a convenient label, and it isn't right.
A traditional agency places a candidate, takes a cut and moves on. The relationship ends at the introduction. Ours starts there. Every PA we work with is someone we know personally and have vetted ourselves, and every consultant we introduce them to is someone we've taken the time to understand first. We don't send whoever happens to be free. We match on how a practice actually runs.
What's different is that we stay. We know your practice, we're there when something needs sorting, if your PA is away, cover comes from another experienced PA, and we make sure the handover is done properly before it starts. You're never dealing with one person on their own, and you're never explaining your practice from scratch to somebody new. We're operational partners, not intermediaries, and it's why consultants stay with us for years.
We don't dictate terms either. The PAs we work with are self-employed professionals who choose the practices they take on and how they deliver the work. They're people we know rather than names on a database, and most have worked with us for years. Consultants get the agility that brings, alongside consistent, high-quality support and an experienced office behind it that knows your practice almost as well as your PA does.
